All Sport One City 2026: 10 Days of Connection, Community, and Trying Something New

Calgary showed once again why it’s one of the most active, community‑driven cities in Canada. This past week, Sport Calgary wrapped up another successful edition of All Sport One City, an event designed to help adults explore new sports, meet new people, and reconnect with the joy of moving.

Across the city, Calgarians stepped onto courts, rinks, mats, and playing fields to try activities they might never have experienced otherwise. From martial arts to pickleball, the 10 days was filled with curiosity, courage, and countless laughs — the perfect reminder that sport is for everyone, at every stage of life.

What Made This Year Special

This year’s All Sport One City highlighted three core goals that define the spirit of the program:

  • Accessibility and Inclusivity
All sessions were completely free to attend, ensuring that cost wasn’t a barrier to participating in sport. Dozens of sport partners opened their facilities and provided expert instruction to help participants feel supported from the moment they arrived.
  • Discovering Something New
Many attendees tried a sport for the very first time — and loved it. The event encouraged adults to step outside their comfort zone, try a new activity, and maybe even find a new passion or community to belong to.
  • Building Connections
Sport isn’t just about skill. It’s about belonging. All Sport One City gave Calgarians the chance to meet friendly faces, connect with local sport organizations, and experience the social, mental, and physical benefits that come from simply showing up and playing.

The Community Behind the Event

None of this would be possible without Calgary’s incredible sport partners. Their coaches, volunteers, and staff offered their time, energy, and expertise to make each session fun, welcoming, and memorable.

A huge thank‑you to every organization who opened their doors and helped make sport accessible to all. Your leadership helps build a healthier, more active, and more connected Calgary.

Looking Ahead

If All Sport One City sparked your interest, keep the momentum going — Calgary’s sport community is thriving year‑round. Many of the organizations involved offer beginner programs, drop‑ins, and adult leagues for every skill level. Sport Calgary will also continue to spotlight local opportunities to get moving and get involved.

We can’t wait to see everyone back next year as we continue growing Calgary’s culture of play, movement, and community — one sport at a time.
