Calgarians — let’s cheer on our hometown athletes as Team Canada heads to the 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Olympics!

Team Canada’s roster features 207 athletes, and several have strong Calgary roots. Many of these athletes started their journeys in Calgary clubs, associations, training facilities, or even summer camps, and now they’re set to compete on the world’s biggest stage. Let’s celebrate their achievements and support them all the way!

Men’s Ice Hockey 🏒

Cale Makar – Defence (Calgary, AB) – 1st Olympics
Calgary-born NHL star, developed through Crowchild Blackhawks and NWCAA Bruins youth programs, before progressing to the NHL. Making his Olympic debut with Team Canada.

Josh Morrissey – Defence (Calgary, AB) – 1st Olympics
Raised in Calgary, played minor hockey with the Calgary Royals, bringing leadership to his first Olympic appearance.

Brayden Point – Forward (Calgary, AB) – 1st Olympics
Calgary native, came up through Calgary South minor hockey programs, now representing Canada in his first Olympics.

Logan Thompson – Goaltender (Calgary, AB) – 1st Olympics
Born and raised in Calgary, Thompson played junior hockey with the Brandon Wheat Kings (WHL) and enters his first Olympic Games.

Ski Jumping 🎿

Mackenzie Boyd‑Clowes – Ski Jumping (Calgary, AB) – 5th Olympics
Five-time Olympian, Calgary-born. Boyd‑Clowes started ski jumping at age seven when his mother enrolled him in a summer camp at Canada Olympic Park, sparking a lifelong passion for the sport.

Matthew Soukup – Ski Jumping (Calgary, AB) – 1st Olympics
Calgary native, Soukup started ski jumping at age eight after attending a summer camp at Canada Olympic Park, quickly advancing through local clubs to the national team.

Abigail Strate – Ski Jumping (Calgary, AB) – 2nd Olympics
Calgary-born and a member of Altius Nordic Ski Club, Strate returns after helping secure Canada’s first Olympic ski jumping medal in 2022.

Natalie Eilers – Ski Jumping (Calgary, AB) – 1st Olympics
Making her Olympic debut, Eilers hails from Calgary.

Nicole Maurer – Ski Jumping (Calgary, AB) – 1st Olympics
Also from Calgary, Maurer earns her first Olympic nomination.

Cross‑Country Skiing ⛷️

Tom Stephen – Cross‑Country (Calgary, AB) – 1st Olympics
Calgary native and member of Foothills Nordic Ski Club, Stephen represents Canada in his first Olympic Games. He has also trained with the Alberta World Cup Academy in Canmore.

Luge 🛷

Kailey Allan – Luge (Women’s Doubles) – 1st Olympics
Calgary-born slider, developed through local Calgary Luge Club/WinSport sliding programs, making her Olympic debut.

Beattie Podulsky – Luge (Women’s Doubles) – 1st Olympics
Also from Calgary, Podulsky honed her skills in Calgary sliding facilities before earning her first Olympic nomination.

Devin Wardrope – Luge (Men’s Doubles) – 1st Olympics
Calgary native, part of the Calgary sliding development system, making his Olympic debut.

Cole Zajanski – Luge (Men’s Doubles) – 1st Olympics
Also from Calgary, trained through Calgary luge programs at WinSport, heading to his first Olympics.

Curling 🥌

Brett Gallant – Curling (Men’s & Mixed Doubles) – 2nd Olympics
From the Calgary/Chestermere area, Gallant competes for The Glencoe Club (Calgary) and represents Canada in his second Olympics.

Tyler Tardi – Curling (Men’s Team Alternate) – 1st Olympics
Calgary-based, currently competing with The Glencoe Club (Calgary), making his Olympic debut.

Snowboarding 🏂

Brooke D’Hondt – Snowboarding (Halfpipe) – 1st Olympics
Calgary-born snowboarder, developed through the Calgary snowboarding community and trained at WinSport halfpipe, competing in her first Olympics.

Felicity Geremia – Snowboarding (Halfpipe/Slopestyle) – 1st Olympics
Also from Calgary, trained at WinSport and Alberta Snowboarding provincial events, earning her Olympic debut.

Bobsleigh 🛷

Bianca Ribi – Bobsleigh (Pilot) – 1st Olympics
Calgary-born athlete, training with the national bobsleigh program and using Calgary sport infrastructure (WinSport), making her Olympic debut.

Eden Wilson – Bobsleigh (Reserve) – 1st Olympics
Calgary-based bobsleigh athlete participating in national team training programs, earning her first Olympic nomination.

Yohan Eskrick‑Parkinson – Bobsleigh (Crew) – 1st Olympics
Calgary native, trained at WinSport / National Sport School, making his Olympic debut.
