Inclusion in Canadian Sports Network Presents Play Fair: Anti-Racism in Sport Lunch & Learn Webinar Series
The goal is to empower the sports community to take action to combat racism and discrimination and create safe, fun, inclusive spaces for sport and play.
The Lunch and Learn Webinar Series will consist of 12 online webinar sessions via Zoom and will focus on deepening organizations' understanding of the toolkit content and helping them plan to action the advice provided. The webinars include best practice examples and opportunities for Q and A with subject experts in anti-racism and inclusion in sport.

Battle of Alberta: An Evening with Legends
The Calgary Canucks Junior A Hockey Club are excited to announce the return of Battle of Alberta: An Evening with Legends with our next edition being held on Thursday, September 26, 2024. Join the Calgary Canucks as they host two legendary icons of the Battle of Alberta, Mike Vernon of the Calgary Flames and Grant Fuhr of the Edmonton Oilers, as they relive a landmark rivalry in Canadian sports history on the site where it was born. The Battle of Alberta became a tectonic clash between the Flames and the Oilers in the 1980s that forged legacies and created hockey heroes.

PointsBet Invitational
The 2024 and 2025 editions of the PointsBet Invitational will be staged at the WinSport Event Centre, bringing the country’s top men’s and women’s teams together under one roof in a one-of-a-kind, tension-packed curling event.
The 2024 PointsBet Invitational will take place Sept. 24-29, while in 2025, the dates are Sept. 30-Oct. 5.
Sixteen men’s and sixteen women’s teams from Canada will take part in the competition, chasing a prize purse in excess of $350,000 in a sudden-death single-knockout format.
The 2024 PointsBet Invitational will be a kickoff to the 2024-25 competitive season, which is hugely important for Canadian teams as they push toward their goals of qualifying for the 2026 Winter Olympics.
The Wild Run for Conservation - Wilder Institute/Calgary Zoo
Please join us, as we run in and around the Wilder Institute/Calgary Zoo bright and early on Sunday September 22, 2024 for the annual "Race For Conservation"! You can choose to run the 10 mile (16km) course solo, round up your crew and race the course as a relay (2-4 members), or take in the sights with our new 4km solo run!
The in-person event starts and finishes on St. Patrick's Island at "The Rise", which is our very own party site for the Wild Run! All runners taking part in the relay will also transition their relay legs at this location, making it a great location for family and friends to cheer you on! The 4km solo run and first leg of the 10 mile course run through the Wilder Institute/Calgary Zoo, but ALL participants have free access to the Wilder Institute/Calgary Zoo after the race!

RBC Race for the Kids
The annual RBC Race for the Kids is returning to Heritage Park! This family-friendly day includes a 6-km run along scenic pathways overlooking the Glenmore Reservoir, a pancake breakfast and a whole lot of fun.
