Play to Lead by Canadian Tire Jumpstart Charities
Play to Lead is a leadership program for high-school aged girls, and their coaches, that supports them in reaching their full potential as leaders in, and through, sport.
The Play to Lead program kicks off by bringing together girls and their coaches for a three-day, in-person Summit where, through experiential learning opportunities, they will explore leadership skills, build connections, and have fun!
Building on the lessons and experiences of the Summit, the continues with a series of learning opportunities, activities and challenges where participants, with the support of their coaches, are able to put their leadership skills into action in their home communities.
At the end of the Play to Lead program year, athletes will be invited to develop and share a Personal Leadership Project that focussed on creating positive sport experiences for girls in their community and beyond.
After the program, athletes will join the Alumni community, where they will have long-term access to mentorship, networking, and professional development opportunities to support their goals as athletes and leaders.
The program is available to all girls between the ages of 13-17 from across the province- there is absolutely no cost for athletes and coaches to register which includes travel support to and from the summit, accommodations, meals, and all summit experiences.
