Energize Don't Hide

We encourage people to engage in whatever sport that gets them moving!

The Canadian Mental Health Association – Calgary Region is hosting our 3rd annual Energize Don’t Hide Challenge from May 2 – June 30, 2022. Energize Don’t Hide is a mental and physical wellness challenge created to raise awareness, build connection and fundraise for the ongoing delivery and expansion of CMHA Calgary programs and services. Participants can register individually or build a team and aim to complete 3,300 or 33,000 minutes of activity. You can cycle, run, meditate or anything you want.

So many of us have felt the rippling effects of the pandemic over the last two years. At the end of 2021, 1 in 4 Canadians (approximately 336,000 Calgarians) identified symptoms of depression, anxiety or post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), which is an increase from 1 in 5 in 2020. Did you know, 54% of Albertans did not receive the mental health support they needed, within the past 12 months, because they couldn't afford it?

It costs approximately, $330 to help one more Canadian access CMHA mental health resources, so we are challenging registrants to raise $330 as an individual or $3,300 as a team.

Our goal in 2022 is to have 600 participants, reaching over $150,000.
