For the first time since 2019, Calgary Minor Soccer Association’s (CMSA) signature outdoor tournament, the Calgary Cup, returns this August long-weekend and will welcome 85 youth teams – 25 of those teams travelling from across Canada!
“The Calgary Cup takes place over the August long weekend. Open to both boys and girls teams ages 10 – 17, our goal with this tournament is to keeps players active and on the ball throughout the summer. It is also a great training environment to prepare teams for upcoming Provincial Championships.” Says Kim Kerr, CMSA Tournaments and Events Coordinator. “It is exciting to see teams come together again and travelling to Calgary to attend our tournaments. With teams from BC, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Quebec, it’s sure to be a competitive and action-packed long weekend of soccer!”
The 2022 Calgary Cup is presented by Fresh Prep and will see the first matches in the competition kick off Saturday morning. Medals and the Calgary Cup trophy will be presented to teams on Monday, August 1.
