Media Advisory - Fieldhouse Decision

On January 28, 2019, City Council’s Strategic Meeting of Council will make funding decisions regarding several long-term projects, including the development of a multisport fieldhouse in Foothills Athletic Park.

The City has also received several requests to fund significant portions of a new events centre/arena, an expansion to the BMO Centre, and an expansion to Arts Commons.

The Calgary Multisport Fieldhouse Society and Sport Calgary are jointly supporting the public need for a multisport fieldhouse. The facility will serve as a new community space for Calgary that benefits all Calgarians.
