Capoeira is for everyone, and the benefits are essential in the quest for wellness! Some physical benefits are strength, stamina, agility, flexibility, and balance. Expression of the body and mind and language development are also explored. Participants can look forward to learning the main capoeira movement called ginga, basic capoeira kicks, and escapes. Cartwheels, handstands, and other beginner gymnastics movements will be reviewed as well as an introduction to some percussion instruments. Axé Capoeira YYC is a non-profit organization dedicated to keeping sports accessible to kids, youth, adults, and families. We proudly offer all levels of training, from beginner to advanced classes, in multiple locations around the city.
