WinSport: Adapted Mulit-Sport Program

WinSport has designed an 8-week multi-sport program for Calgarians with and without physical disabilities to discover adapted wheelchair sport opportunities.

Participants who register are encouraged to invite family members, friends, or teammates to join them during this program. Each week, participants will be introduced to a different wheelchair sport, delivered by expert coaches from local and provincial sport organizations in each respective sport in partnership with Wheelchair Sports Alberta. Having the sport organizations lead the sessions gives the participants the best experience possible.

This creates a great opportunity to communicate directly with the organization on how to get more involved. Registration is completely free thanks to funding received from The Calgary Flames Foundation, the Government of Alberta’s Recreation & Physical Activity Division (RPAD) grant, and the TELUS Community Grant and is supported by the Calgary Adapted Hub powered by Jumpstart. This funding has allowed us to strive towards making this program as accessible as possible for the participants, both financially and physically.

Sessions begin October 17.
