Wallyball Skills Workshop

  • Thorncliffe Greenview Community Association 5600 Centre Street North Calgary, AB, T2K 0T3 Canada (map)

Wallyball Canada is dedicated to promoting the sport of wallyball in Canada. Its aims are to teach the sport and to encourage and enable players to attain their level of excellence. It has been described as the intensity of volleyball coupled with the speed of racketball.

Designed for people with previous volleyball experience (solid foundation of setting, bumping and serving) and those who want to improve their wallyball skills. Wallyball Level 2 will focus on those aspects of the game that differentiate this sport from volleyball: spiking strategies, playing against the back wall and serving overhand. We will also be accepting suggestions from participants who want to work on other skills as well.

This course will be run in a workshop format , culminating in a game where your abilities will be observed and suggestions made for improvement.

Instructor: Mark MacGillivray

Mark MacGillivray has played wallyball for close to 20 years and serves on the Advisory Board of Wallyball Canada.
