Sport Calgary Congratulates Mary Moran on Being Named CEO of Calgary 2026 Bid Corporation
CALGARY, Alberta — Sport Calgary congratulated Mary Moran (Sport Calgary Board of Directors) on being named CEO of the Calgary 2026 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games bid.
“Mary is the perfect choice as CEO for the Calgary 2026 bid committee,” said Murray Sigler, Sport Calgary CEO. “She is a champion for Calgary as a city and understands our global potential.”
“Mary has shown her passion for sport through her involvement with our Board of Directors, and we at Sport Calgary know that Calgary 2026 is a stronger group today because of her appointment.”
As an independent voice for sport in Calgary, Sport Calgary has been supportive of the bid exploration process to date, and looks forward to supporting the public engagement efforts that will occur in the coming months as Calgarians are informed of the facts of a potential bid.
