Tanis Ursulak
External Affairs Manager
Tanis Ursulak has spent most of her career in business relations within the healthcare sector, bringing over 15 years of experience in community relations, member engagement, and strategic partnerships. With a strong work ethic and collaborative approach, she excels in project planning, problem-solving, and continuous improvement.
Born and raised in Edmonton, Tanis holds an Honours Diploma in Marketing from NAIT and a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Alberta.
A lifelong sport enthusiast, Tanis has played softball, dance, basketball, soccer, curling, and golf. She has also volunteered extensively in her children’s sports, including hockey, ringette, lacrosse, basketball, volleyball, baseball, swimming, golf, and dance. She strongly believes in the value of multi-sport participation for developing well-rounded athletes. Tanis sees sport as a powerful outlet that supports youth mental, physical, and social well-being, helps them disconnect from technology, and creates lifelong friendships, leadership skills, and opportunities such as scholarships.
As Manager, External Affairs at Sport Calgary, Tanis builds partnerships, strengthens community connections, and advocates for accessible sport opportunities for all Calgarians. She also serves on the Board of Directors for Prescription to Get Active, promoting physical activity as a foundation for better health.
Outside of work, Tanis enjoys hiking, kayaking, paddleboarding, golf, yoga, camping, walking her dog, watching professional and her kids’ sports, and spending time with friends and family.
