C.J. Wedenig

Marketing and Multimedia Coordinator


Born and raised in Calgary, C.J. Wedenig is a marketing and multimedia professional with a passion for helping organizations tell their story, grow their audiences, and make a meaningful impact in the community. He has applied his expertise across a wide range of organizations, including Scotiabank, Calgary Folk Music Festival, STARS, Pig & Whistle Pub, Calgary Fire, and Rocky Mountain Raiders, delivering innovative campaigns, content creation, and brand-building initiatives that resonate with people and communities alike. C.J. studied at both the University of Central Oklahoma and Mount Royal University, where he honed his skills in leadership, communication, and high-performance development.

C.J. also brings a strong background in elite sport as a former Division I athlete and certified high-performance coach, coaching teams to be ranked #1 in the nation. He has extensive experience working with athletes to develop skills, foster leadership, and build strong team cultures. This unique combination of sport and marketing expertise gives him a strategic perspective on performance, engagement, and results.

Outside of work, C.J. enjoys staying active through hockey, hiking, paddling, golf, and biking. Deeply connected to his hometown, he takes pride in giving back to the Calgary community that raised him. From a young age, he recognized the power of sport to inspire, unite, and transform lives, and he continues to share that passion through Sport Calgary events and initiatives, helping others discover the joy, growth, and connection that sport brings.
