SESSION INFORMATION
No previous ice hockey or skating experienced is required, but there will be a steep learning curve for kids unfamiliar with ice skating or hockey.
Access to changerooms is available on site at the facility
Helmets will be provided by KidSport Calgary’s Skate Shack and the Calgary Flames Equipment Bank. You must bring your own pair of hockey gloves or winter gloves. Please dress warm, including sweatshirt, hoodie, light jacket or hockey jersey, long pants, and closed-toe shoes (you will wear your shoes while in the sled).
Participants can bring their own hockey gloves and helmet with full face cage if they already have them. Please bring a water bottle labeled with your child's name.
Please arrive no later than 1pm to get fitted for your equipment. You may lose your spot if you're late. We are planning to begin on-ice instruction at 1:30pm but may start earlier if everyone is ready.
Session is located in Arena B, but you must check at #7 on the map below no later than 1pm.
